Land Acknowledgment

We recognize that we are on the unceded territory of the Algonquin, Iroquois, and Siouan tribes, and we pay respects to their elders past and present. We also acknowledge the truth of violence perpetuated in the name of this country. Please take a moment to consider the many legacies of displacement, migration, and settlement that bring us together here today. We make this acknowledgement as a step towards dismantling the legacy of settler colonialism and with a commitment to social justice.

As part of our commitment to the local land, Baltimore k9 Tutors is on their way to becoming a Certified Weed Warrior. City Weed Warriors is a city-wide program that was developed to maintain the health of Baltimore’s urban forest. Certified Weed Warriors are environmental stewards trained in non-native invasive (NNI) plant management and enhancing native ecosystems; they host stewardship events in parks all around the city to help protect natural areas, people, and biodiversity.

COVID-19 & Indoor Sessions

At Bk9T, we visit many people's homes. Many who have varying levels of risk factors. We strongly encourage all eligible individuals to get the COVID-19 vaccine and booster to help keep our community safe.

Masks are required for all of those over the age of 2 throughout any portion of an indoor session, unless actively eating or drinking drinking. All individuals are encouraged to wash or sanitize hands. We continue to encourage social distancing when moving around.
